One advantage compared to Fairford; arriving helicopters did so in front of the crowd rather than at a distance behind, enabling rare opportunities to photograph the likes of this Luftwaffe AS532U-2 Cougar.

Queen of the skies as far as the West's helicopters go anyway, a USAFE Sikorsky MH-53M Pave Low IV arrives for the tattoo.
